Where is ‘X Factor Winner’ Melanie Amaro?

According to a source Melanie has now got a personal trainer, a nutritionist and maybe even an etiquette coach, who is getting Melanie prepared for her ‘big reveal’

With all this talk about the second season of the X Factor with new judges Britney Spears, and Demi Lovato many of us are starting to wonder, where the hell in Melanie Amaro. Melanie won over audiences with her Whitney like voice and the fact that she realised she had an accent, (Dramatic Much?) and many of us had high hopes for her, but we have yet to see results. In fact we have seen hardly any results from any of the X Factor finalists except Chris Rene’s ‘Young Homie’, which although in his audition received millions of youtube views, the digital release didn’t even budge the Billboard Hot 100. As for Melanie all she has done is release a club version of Aretha Franklin’s ‘Respect’. In contrast with competing shows such as American Idol whose past winners and contestants such as Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson and recent winner Phillip Phillips are all climbing the Billboard charts as we speak! So what has happened to X Factor hopefuls? Especially since the shows UK contestants are going global (i.e. ONE DIRECTION).

Well according to a couch the 19 year old singer is going under a ‘Pop star bootcamp’, focussing on her exercise and nutrition. “L.A. Reid is adamant that Melanie get thinner so he’s hired a trainer for her, has her on a strict diet and checks in personally every day to see how much weights she’s lost” says one insider. ALthough this isn’t sending a very good message to woman, it does give a look promising, and Simon and L.A are definitely looking for a huge pop star to come out of X Factor”, but will this wait be too long? Are people going to start forgetting who even won the first season? Melanie has been tweeting about her progress throughout the studio and her sessions with the likes of Kuk Harrel and Tricky Stewart, which does sound promising. But she is going to have to make this reveal one big statement if she is going to regain the momentum she once had, and although Simon is wanting to time this reveal in with the fall season of The X Factor, its also possible that viewers will be too consumed with finding the next star to even care about her. But i do genuinely wish Melanie the best of luck, i hope she can come out looking good and release album which isn’t just full of generic pop songs and ballads.

And as for season 2 of The X Factor, although i am so excited for its fall premiere and the new arrivals of Brit and Demi, Simon needs to step up his game and remember that is more about the artists AFTER the show then it is DURING it and making sure this $5 Million Dollar Record Deal is given to someone that is gonna make it worth his while.
